Voedselpark Amsterdam aanwezig op Reclaim the Seeds

Op zaterdag 14 & zondag 15 maart is Reclaim the Seeds in de Fruittuin van West. Tijdens dit weekend is er een zadenruil, er zijn workshops, een markt en allerlei activiteiten voor kinderen. ( TEKST IN ENGLISH BELOW) 

Reclaim the Seeds draait om het uitwisselen van zaden én ideeën. Bijvoorbeeld vragen als: waar kan ik zelf voedselverbouwen? Hoe kom ik aan gifvrije zaden? Er is een markt met bijvoorbeeld een prachtig aanbod van bijzondere biologische pootaardappelen (ook leuk om een keertje op je balkon aardappelen te kweken). Etc. Etc. 

Zonnebloemzaden & Nieuw-West in bloei

Net als vorig jaar delen wij tijdens Reclaim the Seeds, zonnebloemzaden uit. Dit jaar op verzoek van de bewoners, leggen we de focus op Nieuw-West. Samen zetten we het stadsdeel in bloei. (Uiteraard mogen andere delen van de stad ook meedoen, maar Voedselpark Lutkemeer richt zich vooral op Nieuw West.) Als er sociale ondernemers, of bewoners zijn met een groen hart, die het leuk vinden om dit jaar een bijdrage te doen aan het zonnebloemprotest of je hebt een ander idee neem dan contact op met Iris Poels via activiteiten@voedselparkamsterdam.nl - Afgelopen jaar -Overal in Amsterdam duiken zonnebloemen op

Of kom gezellig langs! Iedere vrijdagmiddag is er een vragenuurtje bij boerderij De Boterbloem, op de Lutkemeerweg 262B. Tussen 11.30–13.00 of 13.30–15.00 kun je binnenlopen met al je vragen. Dat kan over van alles gaan: misschien wil je af en toe meehelpen op het land, of ben je nieuwsgierig naar de ontwikkelingen om zoveel mogelijk vruchtbare grond te behouden voor de bewoners van Nieuw-West. Meer info: https://voedselparkamsterdam.nl/agenda/

On Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 March, Reclaim the Seeds takes place at De Fruittuin van West. During this weekend there will be a seed swap, workshops, a market, and all kinds of activities for children.

Reclaim the Seeds is all about exchanging seeds and ideas. For example, questions like: where can I grow my own food? How do I get pesticide-free seeds? There will be a market with, for instance, a beautiful selection of special organic seed potatoes (also fun to try growing potatoes on your balcony). Etc. Etc.

Sunflower seeds & Nieuw-West in bloom

Just like last year, we will be handing out sunflower seeds during Reclaim the Seeds. This year, at the request of residents, we are focusing on Nieuw-West. Together we will bring the district into bloom. (Of course, other parts of the city are welcome to join as well, but Voedselpark Lutkemeer mainly focuses on Nieuw-West.)
If there are social entrepreneurs or residents with a green heart who would like to contribute this year to the sunflower protest, or if you have another idea, please contact Iris Poels via activiteiten@voedselparkamsterdam.nl – Last year, sunflowers popped up all over Amsterdam.

Or feel free to drop by! Every Friday afternoon there is a question hour at De Boterbloem farm, on Lutkemeerweg 262B. Between 11:30–13:00 or 13:30–15:00 you can walk in with all your questions. This can be about anything: maybe you would like to help out on the land from time to time, or you are curious about the developments aimed at preserving as much fertile land as possible for the residents of Nieuw-West.
