Co-Creating a Sustainable City: How to join forces and revolutionise waste management at individual, municipal and on regional scales?

In the face of global crises and mounting challenges in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, including rising costs of food and energy, depleting fresh water, and escalating waste levels, the need for a cohesive vision and roadmap is more urgent than ever. While numerous experts, citizen initiatives, and stakeholders tirelessly work on projects in food, water, energy, and waste, the lack of alignment hampers implementation and scalability. During a series of work sessions we propose a revolutionary collaboration model to address these issues head-on. Through our Holistic Methodology & Co-Creation Tools, we aim to continuously map and link knowledge and activities, providing insights into systems, changes, and necessary trade-offs. This approach will pave the way for a more sustainable, inclusive, and profitable system for all. Sign up for this session and join the movement for sustainable change in Amsterdam Nieuw-West!

The Circular HUB – A Nexus for Solutions:

At the heart of our initiative is the Circular HUB, a convergence of proven technologies fixing issues with food, water, and energy. This model fosters transparency and a win-win-win-win dynamic, linking key stakeholders such as Waternet, AEB, ReNewi, Rijkswaterstaat, and municipalities. We see it as an opportunity to strengthen existing local activities through collaboration.

Putting Ideas into Action:

To put our approach to the test, we’re hosting a series of events in the coming time. These gatherings aim to explore opportunities for an optimal, sustainable, inclusive, and profitable system for all. If successful, we will repeat until we have enough support for a scalable pilot. By actively involving contributors, we aspire to design a vision, roadmap, business, and governance system that is co-owned by the community.

Be Part of the Change:

Join us at our upcoming event on the 1st of March, 14:00 – 16:00 in Cinema de Vlugt! Learn about systems, integrate your knowledge, ideas, dreams, and skills.
